 Classrooms Across Borders: Digital Collaboration with eTwinning

The "Classrooms Across Borders: Digital Collaboration with eTwinning" project aims to bring together students and teachers from different countries and provide a collaborative learning environment through digital platforms. Thanks to this project, students will have the opportunity to share their own cultures while also discovering other cultures. The joint studies to be carried out within the scope of the project will contribute to students' development of language skills, their ability to look from different perspectives and their awareness of global citizenship. Thanks to the tools provided by the eTwinning platform, students will produce joint projects, interact and communicate with each other in a virtual classroom environment. This project will significantly contribute to students' development of 21st century skills by providing a learning experience across borders.

Purpose

This project aims to encourage collaboration and interaction in a digital environment by bringing together students and teachers from different countries with the opportunities offered by the eTwinning platform. The main purpose of the project is to help students get to know different cultures, develop their language skills and contribute to their development as individuals with 21st century skills.

Objectives

It is aimed to enable students to learn about the cultures, traditions and lifestyles of different countries, to develop students' communication skills in the target language and to gain experience in communicating in different languages, to increase digital literacy by enabling students and teachers to use the eTwinning platform effectively, to strengthen students' and teachers' collaboration and communication skills by developing joint projects with their peers in different countries, to develop students' critical thinking skills by evaluating different perspectives, and to enable students to demonstrate their creativity by producing different projects.

Expected Results

Thanks to the project, students will become an active part of their own learning process. By developing joint projects with students from different countries, students will achieve more permanent learning. Teachers will support their professional development by using new pedagogical approaches and technological tools throughout the project. The project will strengthen cooperation between schools and increase the visibility of the school in the international arena. Results such as students getting to know different cultures and developing their global citizenship awareness are expected.

Project Schedule: Students will realize the products specified in the project work schedule under the leadership of their guidance teachers. The founding partners will act in cooperation and work in light of the determined schedule.

Project Duration: November 2024-May 2025

Transactions to be carried out in November 2024;

Informing students about the project purpose and goals,

Obtaining signed parental permission forms,

Making the introduction news of the project on official and social platforms,

Including students in the project work process and giving them passwords,

Establishing a communication group of project partners and exchanging ideas about the process,

Providing information to students about other schools,

Determining project rules with the participation of teachers and students,

Preparing the project introduction video,

Organizing an online meeting with the participation of teachers and students,

Designing and voting on logo and poster.

Final Product

Creation of a common e-book on "Classrooms Beyond Boundaries: Digital Collaboration with eTwinning". Students will be free to write stories. They will write their own original stories about the country they have virtually visited and researched and place them on the final slide page. The e-book will be shared online on the final product page on May 15, 2025.
